The SAGCC Chairperson met with the Embassy staff at the Embassy of Georgia to greet HE Ambassador Beka farewell. The short and medium term activities of the SAGCC were also discussed.

Farewell lunch hosted in Pretoria by former Minister Roelf Meyer. Present was HE Ambassador Beka Dvali and the Chairperson of the SAGCC.

Farewell function attended by Georgians (including South Africans with Georgian passports), and hosted by HE Ambassador Beka Dvali and his spouse Nino at the Embassy of Georgia in Pretoria. The Chairperson of the SAGCC attended.

Farewell cocktail jointly hosted by the Georgian Embassy and the SAGCC at the Club House, Silverlakes Golf Estate, Pretoria. +-60 persons, mainly SADC Ambassadors and members and contacts of the SAGCC attended. The SAGCC Chairperson was the Program Director at the event.

Farewell lunch hosted by the Japanese Ambassador, HE Norio Maruyama. Also present was the new EU Ambassador, HE Sandra Kramer and her spouse, as well as the Chairperson of the SAGCC.

The Embassy of Georgia together with the SAGCC and Riebeek Valley Tourism hosted a Georgia Day in Riebeek Kasteel, Riebeek Valley, Western Cape, South Africa on Friday 01 April 2022.
The focus was culture exchange and the promotion of bilateral tourism between South Africa and Georgia. Georgian wines and snacks were served to the 52 people who attended. Local newspapers and the radio station attended as well.
Riebeek Valley is known as the ‘Olive Capital’ of South Africa – it is also a world renowned wine region. HE Georgian Ambassador Beka Dvali was the keynote speaker. Mr Marius Heyns, Chairperson of the SAGCC, facilitated the event as Program Director.
